Meet Dr. Zacch Adedeji, the visionary leader and real-life inspiration behind our beloved Dr Tax persona. Born on January 8, 1978, Dr. Adedeji is a first-class accounting graduate from Obafemi Awolowo University, with a distinguished career that spans public service and financial expertise. Appointed as the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) in 2023, he now helms the transition to the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) under the 2025 reforms, effective January 2026. His journey includes serving as Special Adviser to the President on Revenue, Commissioner of Finance in Oyo State, and roles in corporate finance, where he honed his skills in driving economic growth through fair and efficient taxation. Dr. Adedeji's positive, inclusive approach—rooted in empathy and innovation—mirrors Dr Tax's fun, tolerant spirit, making complex tax matters accessible while emphasizing how every contribution builds a stronger Nigeria.
